Pegah Taylor

Director of Leadership Development, KIPP Texas Public Schools

“We have now worked with Forged Ed for two years as they facilitated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity work with our staff at KIPP CONNECT Houston Middle School, as well as 20 Assistant Principals across the state in KIPP Texas’s Striving School Leader cohort. In both of these environments, she did an incredible job of providing rigorous learning to all participants, whether it is their first session of this kind or if they have been thinking about DEI work for their entire lives. We will be partnering with Forged Ed for the 3rd year in a row due to the strong impact their sessions have had on the development of our school staff and leaders.”
Conor Hynes

2019-2020 Striving School Leader Cohort

“I have grown in several areas this year, but most significantly in the areas of DEI, relationship building, and vision setting. I believe that Forged Ed's sessions have helped me better understand and respond to the impact of my identity on my work and positional power. In addition, I have learned several ways in which I can build stronger relationships by demonstrating vulnerability and empathy through sharing my story, questioning, and listening. Lastly, I have been reminded to always start with the vision and the compelling way. I believe these growth areas have allowed me to improve as a leader and be better at building capacity in my team.”
